Hello and Welcome!
Welcome to my blog! Our goal at Ducks in a Row Personal Organizing is to help you find the time to pursue your goals and live your life the way God intended. Through this blog, I’ll be sharing some ideas that I hope will be beneficial for you and your loved ones.
I wasn’t always an organizing nerd. While a student at Baylor University (sic ‘em!), I joined a sorority, had a job, and wanted to maintain a high GPA; however, I struggled to fit in time for friends and relaxing. I started to experiment with different strategies to help me have time to do all of these things. As I got older (and developed a strong case of wanderlust), I continued to learn more about how I could maximize my time.
Thinking about a career in law, after graduation I worked in a small corporate litigation firm for several years. While there, I was responsible for billing my hours. I wanted to know how to be a successful employee and continue to have a life outside of work!
Fast forward a few years, and I decided to use my passion to help others. I started Ducks in a Row as a way to empower others to make time in their lives so that they will be able to do the things that make life, life! I see a disconnect between what people spend time doing and what they want to spend time doing. I want to serve those people as they discover ways to bring those intentions together.
I am not perfect by any means. I just try to ensure that what I view as a priority in my life (enjoying time with family and friends, serving others, and travel!) gets my full attention instead of worrying about how I’m going to get everything else done. It’s great to know that I can have a spontaneous dinner party because I’ve got systems in place to generally be ready to invite people over for my husband’s yummy cooking!
When I’m not running my business, I like to travel with my amazing husband John, volunteer in my local community, cuddle up with my two sweet cats and a book and spend as much time with my adorable niece and nephew as possible. Thanks to getting my own Ducks in a Row, I am lucky to be able to focus on doing the things that I enjoy the most!
I look forward to learning more about you!
